Friends of the Henderson County Public Library provides financial support for all county library locations, helping them deliver a wide range of services and programs that enrich and transform the lives of Henderson County citizens of all ages.

The Bookstore is open three days a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 12 to 4 pm.
Come check out our selection of thousands of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and more. Books are shelved by subject and/or author and volunteers are available to direct you to what you’re looking for.
We accept donations at the Bookstore during normal hours. Volunteers are available to unload your donation at the RED doors. Just ring the bell.
Please do NOT leave donations at the Bookstore when it is closed. Book donations are NO LONGER accepted at the Main Library.

We welcome donations of books and financial support. Your financial gifts will allow the library to enrich its services, resources and facilities beyond what would normally be available through local funding.
Through membership dues, used book sales, and fundraising initiatives, Friends of the Library is able to purchase materials and sponsor programs that could not otherwise be funded by the Henderson Country Public Library. With your help, our goal is to to ensure that the Henderson County Public Library system remains among the top mid-size county libraries in North Carolina.
